Device staging:
Our team handles everything from unboxing the equipment to performing power-on testing, application configuration, OS updates, remote access, quality assurance, device shutdown, and re-boxing and shipping.
All our services are scalable, so we can offer project staging when large numbers or timelines are tight. Our facilities allow us to work on multiple devices simultaneously and have process production lines when there are multiple elements to a 'build'. A seamless logistics process means that large amounts of equipment can be received, processed, and shipped with a fast turnaround for customer deployment.
Customer-specific A3 printer staging service:
We unbox the printer, perform power-on testing, and update firmware, followed by verifying functionality post firmware upgrade (e.g., Printing correctly, colours are ok, not faded or blurry, etc.). We do installation/configuration of purchased printer speed, device shutdown, and re-boxing.
Image deployment:
We facilitate the creation and/or deployment of images for numerous partners concurrently. We can use your corporate image or create an image on your behalf by configuring any appropriate operating systems, applications, drivers, updates and customer settings.
OS upgrades & downgrades:
This includes a fresh installation of the desired OS; configuration will consist of all critical updates, driver hardware updates and various vendor applications. If required, an image can be kept and stored for future use.
Software installation and configuration:
This can be vendor- or customer-specific; we can also assist with registration and/or activation.
Technical configuration:
We offer hardware integration, including installation of memory, hard drives, NIC cards, video cards and various other components. We install the required components in desktops, notebooks and printers, which includes options for BIOS customisation and firmware updates.
Technical configuration for servers:
Product installation into servers and blades will help minimise the time required to get your server up, running and on-site - helping you
implement new systems fast.
Standard and extended testing and burn-in:
With all configurations, the standard test will be run to verify all components are in working condition before the units are sealed. In addition to the standard test, we can assist in running your devices for 12 hours or more to ensure all components are exposed to extensive testing.
Asset tagging and management:
We perform a visual inspection and replace components if damaged, apply customer-provided asset tags, record serial numbers/passwords/asset tags/make/model, and then repackage the product and prepare for shipping. Any required information is captured and recorded in a format of your choice. The data can be sent weekly, monthly, or before shipping.
Returns & DOAs:
Any faulty products found during the configuration process are replaced.
Custom packaging and labelling:
This includes kitting, palletisation, inserts, and welcome letters boxed with customised labels as requested.
Bundling:
With bundling, we bundle two or more components as one package and label them according to your instructions. Bundling can be done by strapping, heat shrinking, or placing components in a box.
Blistering:
You can use blister packaging to display electronics in see-through plastic, providing extra security and protecting delicate electronics from damage while in transit—blistering bundles with backing boards and specific promo packs.
USB duplication:
A quick and cost-effective way of rolling out identical USB drives on a
mass scale.
Customer use of TD Config Work Bench & Space utilisation:
Use specific areas (workbenches, roller area, etc.) where partners can perform their configuration service before shipment from Tarsus Distribution to your end customer.
Custom offerings:
Apart from the standard SKU service offerings, we can assist with bespoke solutions and pricing based on your specific requirements, high-volume projects, etc.
Services are typically charged on a per-device basis. However, depending on the size and scope of the project, a host of flexible alternatives are possible to ensure the commercial best value.
